Let’s not drown! Summer is no reason to give up on vitamin C products. But still, myths do not appear on a flat place, there are several important conditions that must be observed to preserve the health of the skin and improve its appearance.

Use products without other acids in their composition

The fact is that often this component is used in cosmetics together with acids for whitening effect. Such care products should not be used in the summer. I always recommend checking the composition on the label and in the list of ingredients INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients), so as not to harm yourself.

Always apply SPF products

Vitamin C is one of the most effective helpers in the fight against age spots because it can block melanin production and break down melanin in the upper layers of the skin. In other words, when you use vitamin C, the pigment that protects your skin from sun damage is not produced. That’s why you need to apply SPF products during the daytime when using vitamin C. If there is not enough melanin, there is an increased risk of allergic reactions to the sun, unwanted pigmentation and the development of burns.
